Hanham Health has continued to expand its health care provision having been awarded the contract (on 1st April 2013) to provide primary medical care and occupational health services to the United Kingdom’s Military Forces stationed at Abbey Wood in Bristol.
Dr Kirstie Pearson is the lead GP for the site which covers nearly 1600 patients, ably supported by Dr Sandy Jackson, Dr Rhian Johns and Dr Rob Sykes. Through the team of Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Physiotherapists, Hanham Health provides a comprehensive range of services for the military personnel. The whole clinical team working in the medical centre have a strong and varied experience in military medicine, coupled with the support of an excellent administrative team to provide high quality health and occupational medicine services to the patients there.
The daily work includes care for acute and chronic medical conditions, health screening and monitoring, as well as the medicals and occupational assessments that those serving in the military have to undergo, including aviation medicals and diving medicals.
The Hanham Health aim is to ensure that the patients we care for at Abbey Wood are maintained in the best health possible, to enable to them to continue to serve the country in all the roles required of them.
